A 101-year (1919) old vineyard of 1 ha located in Elvillar (Rioja Alavesa)\u00a0at 600 metres altitude with calcareous clay composition. A mixed plot\u00a0of Tempranillo, Viura and Garnacha Blanca that only yields 3000 kg per\u00a0hectare.<\/p>\n
The alcoholic fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks, using only\u00a0indigenous yeast, and finishes in amphoras and used French oak\u00a0barrels of 600 litres. The wine ages for another 12 months in French oak

Iraun shows concentrated aroma’s of ripe white peach and\u00a0yellow plum, sweet spices, almonds, fennel and some yellow\u00a0flower notes. On the palate the wine is crunchy and silky. The\u00a0ffinish is long and shows a stoney minerality and some smokey\u00a0notes.<\/p>\n
